Hi to you!
We’re in that weird space between eclipses. There is a strange quality in the air; time seems to meander differently. Our spidey senses are up and our energy levels are down.
On Monday, I had the privilege to meet with my friends over at Omnia Network for our bi-monthly moon ritual. One of the attendees asked what to do while we wade through this liminal space. At first, the question caught be off guard — Because in a way, the answer is do nothing.
This is the time of year that I remember a sentiment given to me by a shaman who I was seeing for a for a while when talk therapy wasn’t cutting it any more…
You are a human being, not a human doing
When, at ever turn, our world encourages actions, decisions, pushing, forcing, going, moving… the eclipse landscape asks us to be. Just be. As we are pivoted from the old and outgrown into the white hot seer of something new.
So, what do you do in-between eclipses? Receive, reflect, notice. Do the active work of suspending our typical disbelief to take a *·.·´there are no coincides`·.·* approach. The act of doing less and being present.
I promise, in t-minus two weeks I can stop talking about the eclipses for a while. But until then, I wanted to create a special offering for some eclipse support.
These quick readings get down and dirty into the impact of the eclipses for you. To support you in gaining insight into wt-actual-f is going on! so that you can be armored with knowledge and perspective as our eclipse stories continue to unfold. These reading will only be available between right now and after the dust settles on the final eclipse of the season around April 15th.
Coming to you at a special eclipse season price— 30-minutes for $70 ($20 off)
I just moved and need new friends but also feel burnt out. What simple steps can I take for a spring restart?
Anti-Antisocial Aquarius
This person has shared with us that they are an Aquarius Sun, Scorpio Moon, Leo Rising
Hi Anti-Social Aquarius! I really resonate with this name. I’m an Aquarius with my own anti-social tendencies who’s often mistaken as an extravert (hard no!). It surprises people when I admit that just being bright and shiny in their presence is draining the life out of me and I will have to sit in a dark room for approximately three days to recover. I suspect this also resonates with you.
So, your question seems like two competing desires — which I also imagine is not unfamiliar territory, considering all your fix energy (Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) all stubbornly wanting what they want, which is naturally in conflict with what the other wants.
The Sun represents what we want
The Moon represents what we need
What I hear in your question is I want friends (Aquarius), but I need rest (Scorpio).
Okay, now for your actual question — what are some simple steps to make spring a fresh start? You’re in luck, considering Aries Season marks the start of the Astrological New Year. So, the energy is on your side in that regard. But when it comes to how you can embody that restart. It’s very simple but I wouldn’t call it easy.
To embrace a new start and begin again, you have to accept that you are at the beginning. And when you begin, you are building something from the ground up.
At the beginning all you have is you.
Like concentric circles forming around you; like The Sun in your own solar system. You’ve got to find center for the rest of you life to orbit around you.
Even though these feel like competing desires — one leads into the next.
When you are burnt out out you have nothing to give — and investing in new, and ideally, sustainable friendships is more viable when you have energy to pour into them. I hate to be cliche but you can’t pour from an empty cup, y’know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don’t make the rules.
As a Scorpio Moon, you recharge in solitude. It’s about giving yourself the space you need to recoup your vitality and protect your energy while also diligently checking-in with yourself. Because there’s a fine line between resting and avoidance. So like, am I still burnt out or am I now just anxious? (it’s a thing)
As an Aquarius’ we are strange but social creatures. Partners, friends, community, social interaction/observation (sometimes we just like to watch) help to solidify your sense of self and your place within the new community you’re a part of. And paired with the Leo/Aquarius need to be on. When you are in the presences of others, your light is on! You are serving court jester in the town square. Which brings its own level of exhaustion — life-giveth and life-taketh away.
Social batteries can be a finicky thing. This is where your desire for friends and the reality of burnout bump up against each other.
Needs then wants. Not as a universal rule of thumb, but in this case it seems necessary that one comes before the other.
What if you gave yourself until the end of eclipse season to really commit to reclaiming your energy? Until the Full Moon in Scorpio on April 23rd. It may mean swatting away the nagging sense of what you should be doing instead. It may mean being strictly boundaried at work so you have to time or energy to dedicate to yourself. It could look like finding a new doctor, meeting with your therapist, taking long grounding walks, building a morning routine that fills your cup. Getting back to painting, writing, archery, bed-rotting — doing the things you love that may have been pushed to the wayside in the process of uprooting your life.
Trust that investing in yourself will manifest in vibrant relationships. ‘Cause you’ll have the energy to share. It’s self-care for collective-care vibes. Tre’ anti-capitalist if you ask me.
This is a call to come home to yourself.
May your journey back to center bring the rest into orbit around you.
Thank you for reading/listening! If you have a big, burning question you’d like me to address in an upcoming newsletter — I want it! Give it to me!
And for those of you who have gotten this far — I have a little something for you. Let’s call it a gift of seasonal vibes. Enjoy!
