Hi to you!
When people have a prominent 8th house in their chart, with planets walking the halls of that haunted house, they tend to be people who like to know, see, feel, touch, taste, understand what’s simmering under the surface; how the sausage is made. They are the ones fiending for the “inside baseball” take. Digging into the behind the scenes. Leaving nothing up to mystery.
Turns out, it me! I am your resident 8th house BITCH! With a clusterfuck of wiles and wonders of the 8th house alive in me. Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus all take up residence there.
It makes sense that I’ve found myself in a career that’s shrouded in mystery — for some. This is also why I have made it my mission to demystify and ground this work into something purposeful and useful. I’m no gatekeeping astrologer. Not an astrologer’s astrologer. I’m your astrologer, and your friend, and I want to bring you this insight in a way that is approachable and digestible.
So when someone asks, what is an astrology reading like? It pains me to say, you have to get one to really know. If you have worked 1-on-1 with me, you know it’s some cross-section of talking with a friend, talking with a therapist, talking to a teacher, and talking with yourself. But I haven’t found the language to express that specific intersection in words.
Which motivates me to show, not tell.
This week I have excerpts from a reading I did with a very dear friend of mine! Now, all readings are different and this one is especially different because I’ve known Molly for over 15 years. And I reached out to Molly to talk about her chart because I’ve been thinking about her and how the astrology is lighting her tf up as of late. And based on our conversations, her life is reflecting that.
I’m grateful that Molly was willing to gift us with a peak into her life. Astrology readings are vulnerable. And this offering of vulnerability should not go unacknowledged. Thank you, Molly!
This clip is what a down-the-road astrology reading with me feels like. After you’ve learned your chart, we weave the impact of your chart and the current astrology into a conversation. That sometimes it feels like something other than astrological consult, but is ultimately supported fully by the context of astrology.
I hope you enjoy this little slice of life astro-reading —
Some astro-context:
Molly is an Aquarius Sun, Libra Moon, Virgo Rising. We meet to chat right after the Aries Eclipse on April 8th.
I open the conversation by asking Molly about what’s been going on in her life, as I do in all transit/current astrology readings. It is typically very clear what planetary transits are most active someones chart based on what they are called the share. As an intuitive astrologer, I work in collaboration with my client to dictate the flow of conversation and what topics we focus on. For me, readings are co-created.
In this snippet of our conversation, we cover the themes that have been brought up in the first year of the Aries/Taurus Eclipse Cycle and touch on Saturn transiting her 7th house (1-to-1 relationship house). The clip is cut off right before things start to get very personal, but I also didn’t want to get you all too in the weeds without a greater context for Molly’s life.
For more where this came from, Molly hosts a podcast (currently on hiatus) called SOS with Molly and Alissa that I have had the pleasure to play resident astrologer on. Here are episodes from 2020 [1][2], 2021 [1][2], 2022, and 2023!
And! If you we’re mesmerized by Molly’s buttery voice, you must check our her music HERE. I’ve been the proud president of her fan club since 2007!
